Maddie’s Senior Portrait Session
I’ve known Maddie’s mom since before Maddie was born. I feel SO old right about now as I write this post about her senior portrait session. I can not believe that she’s about to graduate from high school!
Her mom would make me laugh all of the time with that bright smile of hers. When I met Maddie for the first time, she was a tiny little thing with TONS of dark hair. Now, she is this beautiful young woman who looks just like her momma.
As Maddie kept me laughing during her session just like her mom back in the day, I felt like I was reliving those years. This is why I love photography so much. I love the people and the families I work with. It’s such a joy to watch them grow and live life, all the while capturing these sweet memories for them.
I couldn’t have been more honored to photograph Maddie’s senior session – and we were able to include her best friend Grace.
These girls are just so beautiful inside and out. I loved all of the colorful, fun outfits Maddie picked out for her session. She looked amazing in all of them. I wanted to help bring out her sweet personality and reflect who she is, so we walked around and found some gorgeous places for the girls to do their thing. She is so photogenic, and thankfully we had a beautifully sunny day to enjoy while she showed off her pretty smile and blue eyes. The urban photos around downtown were some of my favorites.
At the end, we headed over to the beach to play in the waves and watch the sunset, and it took my breath away. What a spectacular end to such a nostalgic, heartwarming session.
