The Love Story
Sometimes love is found in the most unsuspected places. Nick and Sarah first met in 2012 working at The Garden Factory. They knew they had a special kind of friendship – or rather, something more than friendship – when they couldn’t wait to get to work every day. They looked forward to seeing each other and their chats throughout the day about nothing in particular. It didn’t take long for Nick to recognize what was happening, and he confidently asked her to go to dinner and movie with him – plus a romantic walk on Charlotte Pier – for their first date. She eagerly accepted, and the rest was history! Now, they stand before you as Mr. and Mrs!
I photographed their sweet engagement session last fall, so it was amazing to see everything come full circle with their fall wedding this year. Both sessions were filled with lots of color, warm autumn vibes, and of course lots of love. It was fun to see how they’ve transformed just a bit, growing closer together, over the course of their engagement.
The Venue — Ravenwood Golf Club
When you just can’t choose, the best option might be….both! Nick and Sarah wanted both fresh air and natural backdrops as well as plenty of space for an elegant reception. They knew that they wanted an outdoor ceremony, but it gets a little too cool in the fall to keep the party outside. As soon as they saw the indoor/outdoor venue spaces at Ravenwood Golf Club, they knew they had found the place!
The Wedding
Joined with their closest friends and family on this gorgeous fall day, they tied the know beneath the trees and then continued the celebration inside with signature apple spice cocktails. The deep green ferns, shades of violet, and candle-lit lanterns made for the perfect fall theme. They were all smiles until the very end when they were sent off after finishing a lively conga line!
