Linnay + John

Linnay and John first met back in 2007 in Canandaigua, NY when Linnay and John’s sister became roommates in college. This paved the way for this match made in heaven. All starting with Linnay and John’s first date eleven years later in 2018.

I first met this couple in the spring when I shot their engagement photos, along with their dog Lou, and learned about this couple’s charming history. And the charm didn’t stop there.  They chose to have a small, intimate wedding of about 30 people which set such a lovely scene to capture breathtaking photos of their big day.

Linnay had her sister and her former roommate, and now sister-in-law, as her bridesmaids. With her bridal party, the preparation was so intimate and emotional. The girls laughed and cried through the festivities of getting ready. The girls got their hair and makeup was done by Blowout Studio in Pittsford, NY before helping Linnay into the gorgeous wedding dress she selected from Blissetts Specialty Shop in Medina, NY.  Linnay’s dress had a delicate lace keyhole back and the stunning jeweled belt was only topped by the stunning grin Linnay wore all day.

We can’t forget about the groom!  They looked dashing in their suits from Brooks Brothers. The groom was even able to add a little flair by sneaking in his Buffalo Bills socks. After reading a touching letter from Linnay, it was time for the ceremony.

 

Their Wedding Day

The ceremony was held at Kershaw Park under the gazebo at Canadaigua Lake. The scenery itself was stunning.  Cortland Flower Shop arranged exquisite bridal bouquets and sprays of soft greenery to line the aisle that added the perfect touch. Once the groom had kissed the bride, the newly weds took a stroll along the boat houses to grab some unique photos and some quiet moments together before heading off to the reception.

 

The couple held a dinner at Nolan’s on the Lake where they were able to greet their guests. They were over the moon about the intimacy of the evening. On their special day, they were able to speak with each and every one of their guests without feeling like they had to be rushed through saying hello to everyone, but actually being able to soak up each moment. And yet, they will be able to join more of their family and friends in Buffalo for a picnic later in the weekend to keep the celebration going. #nowsheskirt, I wish you all the best!
