Belhurst Castle Wedding: Jamie and Greg

It’s your wedding day! You walk out the doors and down the steps of the stately Belhurst Castle to meet the one you will spend forever with. A soft breeze blows across the verdant gardens filled with bright blooms soft greenery. The waves of Geneva lake ripple gently behind you, and this amazing summer day is perfect for a wedding. You can’t wait to say, “I do!”

This was Jamie and Greg’s wedding vision, and their day was almost too beautiful for words!

How they met

Jamie and Greg met on a study abroad trip to Prague in the Czech Republic. They went to the same school but didn’t meet until we were 4,000 miles away! But when they did finally meet, a spark was ignited, and they knew they had something special. Not too long after, he proposed, she said yes, and now here we are at their extraordinary wedding day.

They chose Belhurst Castle because they both love the outdoors. They wanted something that truly represented them as a couple while offering the space and accommodations they needed to celebrate with all of their friends and family. I can’t think of a more spectacular venue!

And what a day we had! Thankfully, the weather was absolutely amazing. We all enjoyed the fresh air while taking photos of the bride and groom and wedding party. We did most of the shots outside because utilizing the grounds and capturing all of the natural beauty was important to them.

They exchanged heartwarming vows beneath a lovely wedding arch with the lake filling the backdrop. I love the long crimson bridesmaids’ dresses – the ladies looked striking against all of the greenery. Jamie looked dazzling in her white off-the-shoulder gown, complete with a lace back and long satin train – so beautiful! No wonder Greg shed a tear or two when he turned around to meet her for their sweet first look.

After promising their love to one another, they headed inside for an evening of toasts, dancing, and dinner – and of course some delicious Ben & Jerry’s ice cream after!
