Impeccable style. Lots of love and laughter. This wedding had everything a couple dreams of for their big day.
Alex and Kristen met on a little-known dating website. They instantly connected and kept up with online communication for a while. Finally, they decided to exchange numbers, and he asked her on their first date. Kristen remembers meeting him and immediately thinking, “This guy is going to be my boyfriend…I knew right when I saw that smile of his for the first time.” And now here they are today as newlyweds!
Chilly weather. Warm hearts.
Neither one of them wanted their first date to end. Despite the extra chilly winter day, they started with indoor putt-putt (she won of course), then they went out to dinner, and ended the night with a movie. From that day on, they have been together, taking on life’s grandest adventures hand-in-hand.
These two were such a pleasure to work with. They are the sweetest couple! Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Wanakah Country Club in Buffalo. The pristine golf course borders magnificent Lake Erie, so as you can imagine, their wedding had the perfect backdrop—plenty of amazing photo ops. One of the first things I noticed about the ceremony setup was the intricate arbor they would stand under to exchange vows. The lattice and woodwork were exquisite, especially draped with roses, greenery and burgundy blooms. Kristen explained that her dad crafted it, especially for their wedding day!
Their first look was in Delaware Park, which was perfect on such a sunny day! When Alex saw Kristen for the first time in her wedding gown, his face said it all. Their ceremony and reception were filled with happiness and love—I had so much fun capturing all of the amazing details that went into every piece of it. The sweets table by B Sweet Designs was so cute, and everything looked (almost) too pretty to eat.
