Syracuse backyard wedding | Lizz + Angelo
2020 has been quite the year to say the least. Lizz and Angelo were committed to having their wedding no matter what. After a few venue changes and changes in the guests list their best day ever finally happened. A little different than expected. 2 weeks before their wedding, their venue changed to her parent’s manicured backyard.
Lizz met Angelo when she went in for her interview at Mount Saint Mary College. She said it may be cheesy to say, but it was love at first for each of us. They had an amazing conversation and an instant connection. Her words – “He was so interested in my life and I found him so charismatic. I had a speech prepared for my interview but completely lost it the second I saw him. Technically our first date was paid for and provided through Mount Saint Mary College because Angelo was my mentor and training my on the job 🙂 We went to the park a lot with friends but our first official date was a small little steakhouse outside of NYC. We had our own private room which was awkward and funny all at once.”

They chose The Frog Pond because they’re both nature lovers. They LOVE Skaneateles and wanted a ceremony in a different spot than our reception. After the ceremony, they went back to her parent’s home in Syracuse to enjoy the beautiful evening with their closest friends and family. Backyard weddings have become one my new favorite venue this year.
I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful couple. I know Lizz from a few years back when I was looking for an assistant. Needless to say, Lizz was an amazing assistant and friend. And now a stunning bride.
