The Luck of the Irish | Happy Birthday Mason Joseph
The luck of the Irish was surely at play on St. Patrick’s Day for one incredible family. On March 17th Maggie & Joe welcomed their son, Mason Joseph, to the world at 4:35 AM. Mason was actually planned to be delivered just a few days later. Clearly he was meant to join his family on St. Patrick’s Day. This little charm weighed in at 7lbs, 14oz and stretched 20.5” long.
This little miracle stole everyone’s heart from the moment he entered the world. The doctors and nurses were absolutely taken by his alertness and personality. The moment that mom held Mason in her arms was one I will always remember. Seeing Maggie’s joyful smile and Mason snuggling in his mother’s warm embrace just touched my heart. Now, you have to understand, I’ve known this couple for quite a while—I have photographed their engagement, wedding, maternity, and now the birth of their son and each of these milestones have been joyous days. However, photographing their first moments with Mason was by far the most heart-warming. The look on Joe’s face while holding Mason for the first time was one filled with unconditional love. Mason looked up at his dad with this look of curiosity and contentment as he wrapped his little hand around dad’s finger. My heart was filled with pure joy while capturing their first bonding moment from behind my lens.
Still captivated by Mason’s sweet tenderness as I look back on the photos I have taken. Thank you for letting me be part of your special day, Maggie & Joe. Best wishes to you on this wonderful family journey.
