Wow. It’s been a long road for these 2. I photographed their engagement session about 1.5 years ago at Taughannock Falls in Ithaca. That was magical so I knew their wedding day wouldn’t be any different. This day has been in the works for at least 2 years. They eloped last year with their closest friends and family on the lake. This year, was their time to celebrate and truly enjoy their day, finally.

The day started out with the guys hanging out at the Doubletree and the girls were at an Airbnb not far from the church. The Airbnb was full of light and laughing. Evelyn’s man of honor, her brother, helped her with the final details before heading to the church. Everyone was so delighted to be there and watch Evelyn and David renew their vows. Once family photos were complete we headed over to the Sunken Gardens at Highland Park. Where we recreated a photo that David’s parents had taken 30 years prior on their wedding day. The way the light fell on them was absolutely perfect.

Towards the end of the evening, David had a huge surprise for Evelyn, an unreal fireworks display. Guests gathered on the patio at Locust Hill Country Club for a “group photo” turned insane surprise for Evelyn and everyone else. She was definitely shocked and thankful.
