Engagement Session | Rochester Wedding Photographer
Julia and Rocco
This session has been long in the making. I had been in touch with Julia and Rocco for a while, going back and forth in correspondence, and I couldn’t wait to meet them in person for their engagement session!
Now that spring has finally blossomed, outdoor sessions are more beautiful than ever, and I’ve really been enjoying all of the natural beauty and fresh air. It was a perfect overcast evening at Genesee Valley Park. There’s a unique split tree there that’s so pretty to use as a backdrop, and it adds a fun detail to the photos. I want these images to be memories that couples cherish forever, and interesting locations always make them a little more distinct and memorable. Plus, they can go back there and reminisce over that time in their lives.
Julia and Rocco are such a warm, personable couple. I enjoyed chatting with them and getting to know them a little better (now I’m even more excited about their wedding next June—I feel so honored to be able to capture that for them!). After the split tree photos, we went to a spot a little further into the park along the same path where the canal and the river meet. Finally, we went over to the University of Rochester to catch some trees in bloom. It also happens to be where they went to school, so it’s extra meaningful to them. It was so sweet watching them talk about old times together there. These two are so fun and up for anything. I truly enjoyed meeting them, finally! I can’t wait to photograph their big day!
