On a warm day with perfect overcast, they were married at his parents lake house on Canandaigua Lake. The perfect backyard wedding on the Finger Lakes. Surrounded by only closest friends and family and their dog. Guests were able to mingle and eat the fabulous food by a private chef. The rain held off until after I left and they were celebrating under their tent. A short walk to the lake and their private deck for a emotional first look.
This wedding exemplified the charm and intimacy that a backyard setting can offer. There wasn’t a timeline. The absence of a rigid schedule allowed the couple and their guests to immerse themselves fully in the celebration. There was no urgency to get through formalities. It was perfect.
