Rochester Engagement Session : Kristin + Kyle
I photographed Kristin’s brother’s wedding years back. So, now that it’s her turn, I feel so honored that she chose me.
Getting to know my clients and their families really is such a joy. Over time, as I watch them grow, get married, and start careers and families, they begin to feel like family for me. I get excited about engagements, new jobs, big moves, and new births. Being there to document these big moments – as well as the sweet times in between – is what photography is all about. I love doing engagement and wedding photography because I have the opportunity to capture that beautiful period before a couple launches out in their first big adventure together, whatever that may be.
Kristin and Kyle are perfectly complementary in every way. He’s from California, and she’s from Upstate New York. While they enjoy many of the same pastimes, they each have their own way of doing things.
They’re getting married in December at the Inn on Broadway, which is going to be amazing. Every wedding or reception I’ve ever photographed at this venue is distinctively elegant, classic, and wonderful. Add in all of their closest friends and family, and these two are in for the celebration of a lifetime!
When it came to shooting their engagement session, though, I knew this creative couple was looking for something clean but artistic.I knew of the perfect place. We went downtown for the more urban backdrops, then out to Mendon Ponds for some romantic sunset photos that did not disappoint. Check out a few of my favorites from Kristin and Kyle’s incredible engagement session – like the waterfall photo and sunset silhouette!
