Wanakah Country Club Wedding | Kristen + Alex
Impeccable style. Lots of love and laughter. This wedding had everything a couple dreams of for their big day.
Alex and Kristen met on a little-known dating website. They instantly connected and kept up with online communication for a while. Finally, they decided to exchange numbers, and he asked her on their first date. Kristen remembers meeting him and immediately thinking, “This guy is going to be my boyfriend…I knew right when I saw that smile of his for the first time.” And now here they are today as newlyweds!
Chilly Weather. Warm Hearts.
Neither one of them wanted their first date to end. Despite the extra chilly winter day, they started with indoor putt-putt (she won of course), then they went out to dinner, and ended the night with a movie. From that day on, they have been together, taking on life’s grandest adventures hand-in-hand.
These two were such a pleasure to work with. They are the sweetest couple! Both the ceremony and reception were held at the Wanakah Country Club in Buffalo. The pristine golf course borders magnificent Lake Erie, so as you can imagine, their wedding had the perfect backdrop—plenty of amazing photo ops. One of the first things I noticed about the ceremony setup was the intricate arbor they would stand under to exchange vows. The lattice and woodwork were exquisite, especially draped with roses, greenery and burgundy blooms. Kristen explained that her dad crafted it, especially for their wedding day!
Their first look was in Delaware Park, which was perfect on such a sunny day! When Alex saw Kristen for the first time in her wedding gown, his face said it all. Their ceremony and reception were filled with happiness and love—I had so much fun capturing all of the amazing details that went into every piece of it. The sweets table by B Sweet Designs was so cute, and everything looked (almost) too pretty to eat.
Thank you so much for letting me capture your big day, Alex and Kristen! It couldn’t have been more perfect. I wish you both the very best!

Vanessa + Andrew | Syracuse, NY Wedding
“If I know what love is, it is because of you.” –Herman Hesse
Vanessa and Andrew got married on August 25th at The Cathedral of Immaculate Conception. Vanessa was a bride with a vision. Her goal was to create a “sophisticated yet elegant” vibe for her wedding. Let me tell you, she nailed it!
The ceremony was sprinkled with traditional elements. Vanessa walked down the aisle wearing the most beautiful dress and stunning vintage crown. The crown had been passed down to her from her grandmother. Vanessa’s grandmother wore this special piece at her wedding in 1959. I loved hearing the story about this family heirloom being passed down. What an incredible tradition to hold within a family.
After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Marriott Syracuse Downtown for the reception. This venue paired perfectly with their ceremony venue. It fit perfectly with Vanessa’s vision of sophisticated, elegance. Every detail from the venue to the food that was chosen went so well together.
As the night came to an end I was able to grab the bride and groom and take them outside for a few shots. Vanessa twirled in Andrew’s arms as we captured our final shots together. The smiles on their faces were a pleasure to capture. Thank you both for working with me on your special day.
Cheers, Vanessa and Andrew, here is to a lifetime of love and laughter together.

Carissa + Kyle | Rochester, NY Wedding | Ravenwood Wedding
“Love is old, love is new, love is all, love is you.” –The Beatles
A year ago I met Carissa and Kyle for their engagement session. They were fun, kind, and up for anything! Working with couples that are up for something new is always a fun day behind the lens for me. During the shoot, we incorporated their cute puppy and enjoyed the fall weather. After their engagement session, I was excited to see them again on their wedding day.
When the day finally arrived it became clear how important friends and family are to both of them. With a large wedding party and two families becoming one Carissa and Kyle’s wedding day was overflowing with love and support. I love capturing candid moments of everyone together. The love, the laughs, the tears, and the kisses will be fun to look back on in the future as they celebrate 1, 10, and 50 years together.
Thank you, Carissa and Kyle, for letting me capture this special day. The love that you have for each other and for your close ones was a joy to witness first hand. I wish you nothing but love and happiness as your family grows in the future.

Megan + Kyle | Rochester, NY Wedding
“You will forever be my always.” –Unknown
How does the saying go—“the best relationships start out as friendships?”
…I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes, and I’m sure Megan and Kyle can attest to that saying.
This wonderful couple met in youth group when they were in middle school. Since they went to different schools their friendship grew slowly and continued through high school. It was during Megan’s senior year of college that they finally started dating!
Fast-forward to August 11, 2018—Megan + Kyle’s wedding day held at Webster Arboretum. Their wedding day was bright, whimsical, and reflected the easy-goingness of this wonderful couple. During the ceremony, Megan and Kyle exchanged their vows in front of family and friends underneath an arbor they made. The incredible craftiness paired with their color scheme, outdoor venue, and colorful flowers brought this air of happiness and excitement to the day. I guess the taco bar and ice cream truck could have added to the happiness level too, ha!
Thank you so much, Megan and Kyle, for letting me capture your wedding day. The love you two share is magic. I look forward to seeing where your wedding bucket list takes you in the future!

Laura + Griffin | Shadow Lake Wedding | Rochester, New York
“The best thing to hold onto in life is each other.” Audrey Hepburn
There is something special about an outdoor wedding ceremony during the summer in Rochester. I’m especially thankful I get to be outside enjoying these days while doing something I enjoy—capturing love from behind my lens.
Laura and Griffin celebrated their love in style! Their ceremony was held outdoors at Shadowlake. The location was stunning. Guests had a view of the couple exchanging their vows with the beautiful water as the backdrop. They were married by Griffin’s sister, which was so meaningful for both of them.
After the ceremony, everyone headed inside for the reception. Once dinner was complete the dance floor filled up quickly! I enjoyed watching everyone young and old show off their incredible dance moves. It was a night filled with love, laughter, and fun dance moves.
I feel so lucky I got to spend my day capturing such a beautiful, outdoor wedding on this perfect summer day. Thank you, Laura and Griffin, for being such a wonderful couple to work with.
