Elopement and mini wedding venues in Rochester, NY
I get asked this all the time! “We want to elope or have a mini wedding, what venues can you recommend?”
It’s such a fun direction, and I’m ALL about it! More and more couples are choosing to go for a mini wedding, and honestly, I think it’s the perfect way to celebrate. I’d consider a mini wedding as one with less than 20 guests—just your closest family and friends. And let me tell you, it’s absolutely magical! It gives everyone a chance to actually connect with the couple and fully enjoy the moment.
I’ve been part of some super intimate elopements, where it’s just the couple, their officiant, and me as the witness. Simple, meaningful, and oh-so-beautiful.
Maybe you have a cozy dinner with friends afterward or head off to celebrate in your own unique way—the options are endless!
Here are a few venue ideas to kickstart your search. I’ve personally photographed at most of these, so I can vouch for how amazing they are! And don’t forget, you can always choose to have your ceremony at City Hall and then go somewhere special for photos afterward.
And of course, an Airbnb by the lake is always a winner! The best part? The timeline is completely up to you—or you can even throw the timeline out the window and just enjoy the day however it flows.
